This is a beautiful historic trail that stretches about 4 miles near the border of Uxbridge and Northbridge, MA. It is very popular, particularly during summer months. It is a multi-usr recreation area. Walking, running, fishing, and kayaking are all a lot of fun at this site.
Visitors typically park at Riverbend Farm and visitor center located at 287 Oak Street in Uxbridge, MA. There are picnic tables and a small dock. There is also a bridge where many visitors like to fish. For those of us who want to get out there and walk or run, just cross the bridge and make a right. You will be treated to some excellent flat terrain along the scenic Blackstone Canal.
The trail is wide enough to accommodate about 4-5 people across but do note it could be a bit dangerous in spots if you have toddlers walking with you.
There are some benches along the way and also 12 historic markers. These go along with a self-guided tour found here.
