Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary is an excellent excursion for adults and kids of all ages. It features a two mile elevated boardwalk through an area rich with wildlife. It’s an easy stroll around the swamp, with many benches available around the trail to sit and take a rest.

 

It can get busy, but it seems to remain fairly quiet as most people seem to be thoroughly engrossed with their surroundings.

 

 

There is a nature center on your way in and out, offering beverages, snacks and related gifts. It’s also air conditioned which is a nice treat after the intense  humidity.
