Shieling Forest is tucked away in Peterborough, a quaint town in southern New Hampshire. It’s about a 5 minute drive from the town center and offers easy to slightly moderate hiking through about 2-3 miles of trails.
To enter the forest you’ll pass through an open meadow, with a large garden on your right. Upon entering the forest you can choose from several trails, varying in length.
For lunch, try one of the cafes or restaurants located in the town center of Peterborough. It’s a great little town with many independently-owned shops.
